Today at Mahoonagh NS for our Green Schools Action Day we celebrated all the different international cultures of our school community! Our school is privileged to have pupils from 13 different cultures!
All the pupils from junior infants to sixth class worked hard over the last month doing projects and research on different countries all over the world and today they got the opportunity to showcase their fantastic work to the whole school! All the pupils got to visit the different ‘Embassy’ stalls and get their passports stamped as they learned about the different countries from their peers!
The student council also had a stand promoting the benefits of using fair trade products from around the world!
Huge thanks to Mrs Hanley and the amazing pupils on the Green Schools Committee for organising this fantastic event with help from Ms Harnett and the Students Council!
