We really enjoyed our visit to the Science Showcase that was held by 5th classes for Science Week 🧪

We were so busy for Science Week this year!
🧪 We explored the reactions that happen when you shake cream and end up with butter! 🧈 Of course we had to taste the end result!
🧪 "Wash your hands please!!" We used pepper and soap to visualize how germs react to our hands when we wash them properly 🫧🧼
🧪 Balloon Pop: We used the reaction caused by vinegar and baking powder to inflate our balloons! 🎈
🧪 Leaf Investigations: We each chose a leaf from the field and carried out a study on them 🍂
🧪 It wouldn't be science week without an explosion!! 💥 We love the mentos and coke experiment in our room!! This year we used diet coke and got an even better result! 🥤
Today, our 5th class students visited the SMI science labs where they explored a range of fascinating experiments. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience. Thank you to all involved in organising this exciting trip!
We had great fun during science week. We watched a science show , attended a science quiz and had fun completing lots of science experiments.
During Science Week 5th class were learning about the science of bottle flipping . The most suitable volume of water for a bottle flip to be successful was 120ml. Our data also showed kneeling during the challenge was the best position 📊
