The pupils in 3rd class have really enjoyed trying out their building skills, engineering skills and coding skills using our new Lego Spike kit!! They made a break dancing robot, a hopping bot, a barking bot and a robotic arm!!
Engineering
We went on a Google Earth Scavenger hunt .We located various landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower and man made islands in Dubai. We even ventured under the waters to view the coral in the Great Barrier Reef 🪸.
We used Google Earth 🌍 maps to measure 📏 the distances between Limerick to all of these landmarks and more !

Our engineering challenge was to design and build spinners that spin the longest.
We had great fun testing our own spinner designs .
We have thoroughly enjoyed working with snap circuits this week.
We are learning about how electrical circuits work. We have modified existing circuits and designed our own circuits.
We created a circuit for a torch and a fan!
