First Class had a brilliant day on school tour with second class on Wednesday 12th June. We went to Just 4 Fun Kids camp that was taking place at Mary Immaculate College. There were a load of fun activities - tug of War, dodgeball, bouncy castles, ring the bell ladder climbing and many more! The weather was great and everyone arrived home tired but happy!

It was very scary at Halloween with all the little monsters in First Class!

5th class proved to be wonderful friends and leaders with our 1st class when we went out experimenting with various bubble activities.

One station made foam snakes.

Another station tested out the bubble wands we had made in class.

We checked to see if we could catch a bubble or blow a long- lasting bubble.

We had a wonderful time!

First Class were very creative when designing bubble wands. We tried to create a variety of shapes and will explore later and find out if the bubbles will form in their normal spherical shapes or will the wand create a different shaped bubble???

(They kept their normal spherical shape)

This week in Ms. Collum/ Ms. Gilbourne’s 1st Class we celebrated World Earth Day which takes place on April 22nd! 😄

We learned the importance of appropriately disposing of litter, choosing the recycling bin and compost bin when possible. 🚮

We discussed the ways in which we can each play our part looking after the Earth. 💗
