Huge Thank you to Mrs. Geary and Aideen and her family for organising an amazing day to celebrate and make people aware of Down Syndrome.

We started our morning by learning what Down Syndrome is and that people with Down Syndrome have an extra Chromosome that makes them extra special. We watched a video where Chloe explained all about Down Syndrome to us!

We coloured in pictures of odd socks to celebrate that people with Down Syndrome have 47 chromosomes instead of 46!

Mrs. Geary very kindly invited us all to her classroom for an ice cream party and Aideen handed out special Odd socks party bags she had brought in for all the boys and girls!

Mrs. Geary held a fun odd socks disco in the hall after lunch and everyone really enjoyed dancing to all the songs!
