We have thoroughly enjoyed working with snap circuits this week.
We are learning about how electrical circuits work. We have modified existing circuits and designed our own circuits.
We created a circuit for a torch and a fan!

For Engineers Week 5th class have been using KEVA planks . These are developing and building our engineering,STEM and problem solving skills .
Take a look at some of our creations !
We selected three rulers made from three different materials:
metal
wood
plastic
We tested the flexibility of these three materials by tying 50g and 100g weights onto each ruler to see how much each weight would cause them to bend!
The majority of the class guessed the plastic ruler would be the most flexible material and we were right! The 50g weight bent the plastic ruler down 0.5cm and the 100g weight bent the plastic ruler down 1cm
The weights made no impact on the metal and wooden rulers showing us that wood and metal aren’t as flexible as plastic
